John Diamond is kick starting the local fundraising with a sponsored walk in aid of the Workington Stella Maris Project.
He will be walking from Our Lady Star of the Sea and St Michael's in Workington to St Mary's Cleator, then onto St Begh's in Whitehaven and back to Our Lady Star of the Sea and St Michael's - which will be approximately 24 miles. John was diagnosis with arterial fibrillation 3 years ago and had an ablation at the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle which was a success. He has worked hard to regain his fitness and now regularly enjoy walking up to 15 miles - so this will be a little stretch for him but he is determined to support this cause so dear to his heart.
Sponsor forms are at the back of OLSM or you can use the Just Giving link attached
